It is time to renew your Associate Membership with the Prince George’s County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 89. Your 2010 FOP Lodge 89 Associate Membership dues are only $50.00. Associate membership dues are due no later than January 1st 2010. Please send your check payable to FOP Lodge 89 in the amount of $50.00 to FOP Lodge 89, PO Box 566, Upper Marlboro, MD 20773-0566.

Please note that due to changes in our policies and security at FOP Lodge 89, we no longer offer the discounted rate to spouses of Associate members. Dues for all Associate members are $50.00.

Just a reminder, if you allow your Associate membership to lapse, we no longer allow Associates to pay their delinquent dues to be re-instated. The new policy states that if you allow your dues to lapse you will have to rejoin as a new Associate member. Once your name is removed from our membership roster, you will be required to resubmit a membership application and will be subject to an additional $15 administrative fee for an updated background check.

With your continued support, we will be able to continue offering tremendous services to the members of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 89 (FOP). I wish to express my gratitude for the support and concerns you have shown towards our professional Prince George’s County Police Officers. I say this, knowing that you have been an Associate Member for over a year now. Your involvement and participation allows us to expand and strengthen our efforts to support our members, as well as the community. We are able to provide training seminars, support group and social club meetings, as well as many family events and functions.

A membership card is needed to obtain access to the facilities at FOP Lodge 89 after normal business hours. Security to the building after business hours will be through key cards only. Only active and retired FOP Lodge 89 members and PAID Associate Members of FOP Lodge 89 will have the opportunity to obtain key cards. (A small administrative cost, which is not included in dues or background fees, is required if you wish to obtain a key card).

If you would like to receive an application for Associate Membership, please call (301) 952-0882 and an application will be sent to you promptly. You must have your application signed by an Active or Retired Prince George's County Police Officer. Once you complete the application, please return it to the FOP along with a copy of your drivers license and your dues ($50.00) and administrative background investigation fee ($15.00). Upon acceptance, you will receive a membership card and FOP window stickers. Upon annual renewal of your membership, you will receive a new membership card and updated window stickers. Renewal notices will be sent out at the end of November. Dues for Associate Membership renewals are payable no later than January 31st of each year.

• FOP Facilities – Associate members are eligible and welcome to use the Lodge facilities. Rental of the Banquet Hall and Field/Pavilion are available to members for family functions such as parties, receptions and reunions, etc. A discount is given to our members for immediate family functions only. • FPA License Tag Program - FPA series tags may be obtained after one full year of Associate Membership has been completed and the second year membership is paid. The FPA tags identify the members as a law enforcement supporter. Applications for these tags may be obtained by mailing a check for $12.00 made out to FOP Lodge 89 with a copy of your current FOP Lodge 89 Associate membership card and a copy of your vehicle registration to FOP Lodge 89. The Associate Members name must be listed as the owner or co-owner of the vehicle. Send required documents and check to FOP Lodge 89, PO Box 566, Upper Marlboro, MD 20773, Attention: Pam McKay. Once your information is received, Pam McKay will fill out the application and mail it to you with instructions. This process takes approximately two weeks.



• The FOP Dental Plan - The FOP is now offering Dominion Dental Plan 509S as the sole provider of dental benefits to our membership. The cost of the dental plan is $57.00 per month for a family plan, and $24.97 per month for a single plan. Office visits, x-rays, and some fillings at no charge and major services such as extractions, root canals, crowns and bridgework at a reduction. The open enrollment period each year for the Dominion Dental Plan is November to be effective January 1st.
