Attention Associate Members and Guests

The 2008 Associate Membership dues were due in January.  If you have paid your dues, you have your blue 2008 Associate Membership card in your possession.  If you do not have your 2008 blue Associate mebership card, you are delinquent in paying your dues.  All delinquent Associate members have now been removed from our rolls and will be required to re-join as new Associate members.

In the very near future, a 2008 membership card will be needed to obtain access to the facilities at FOP Lodge 89.  Security to the building will be through key cards only.  Only active and retired FOP Lodge 89 members and PAID Associate Members of FOP Lodge 89 will have the opportunity to obtain key cards.   (A small key card administrative fee (not included in the dues or back ground fee) is required if you wish to obtain a key card).

Effective, April 1, 2008, the Associate Membership Annual Dues has increased to $50.00 annually.  Any Associate Membership applications received on or after April 1, 2008, the applicant will be required to submit  $50.00 per year for the dues and $15.00 for the initial administrative background investigation fee.  We will no longer offer the discounted rate for spouses.  All Associate Membership Dues is $50.00.

If you permit your membership to lapse at any time, you will be required to re-apply for membership.  If you haven't paid your 2008 due, your dues has lapsed.  Once your name is removed from the membership, you will not be permitted to just pay the years of lapsed dues.  Your application will also have to go through the background investigation again and there will be an additional administrative fee of $15.00 for each background check.

If you would like to receive an application for Associate  Membership, please give us a call at 301-952-0882 and an application will be sent to you promptly. You must have your application signed by an Active or Retired Prince George's County Police Officer.  Once you complete the application,  please return it to the FOP along with a copy of your drivers license and your dues in the amount of $50.00 and $15.00 administrative  background investigation fee.  Upon acceptance, a membership card and FOP window stickers will be sent to the new member.  Each year when a membership is renewed, a new membership card and stickers will be sent in return.  Renewal notices will be sent out at the end of November.  Associate Membership dues for renewal is due each year in January.

Associate members are eligible and welcome to use the Lodge facilities. Rental of the Lodge Hall and Pavilion are available to members for family functions such as family birthday parties, weddings and wedding receptions, anniversary parties and family reunions, etc.  A discount is given to members for immediate family functions, (spouse, parents, and children of the Associate member).

FPA series tags may be obtained after one full year of Associate Membership has been completed and the second year membership is paid.  Once you have completed your first year, paid your second year dues, and receive your membership cards and stickers you may submit the paperwork for the FPA tag application.  You will need to send a copy of your vehicle registration, the Associate Member must be the owner or co-owner on the registration, a copy of your current Associate membership card, and a check for $12.00 (per vehicle) made out to FOP #89.  You will need to send it to FOP #89, PO Box 566, Upper Marlboro, Maryland, 20773.  Once your information has been received, we will forward it to the tag chairperson.  The chairperson will fill out the tag application and mail it back to you within two weeks from the time the FOP receives your information.  You will receive instructions with the application.  You will need to take that application to Glen Burnie to get your FPA tags.

The FOP Dominion Dental Plan is available to Associate Members.  The open enrollment for the FOP Dominion Dental Plan is in November of each year.  New members may join the dental plan within thirty (30) days of  joining as an Associate member.

Open Enrollment for the FOP #89 Dominion Dental plan is held during the month of November each year. If you would like to join, make any changes to your existing plan or withdraw from the plan, it must be done directly through Dominion Dental during open enrollment.  If you are withdrawing from the FOP 89 plan you must submit a letter in writing to Dominion Dental, with your full name printed, your signature, and your social security number.  Your applications to join or make changes or withdraw letters must be received by Dominion Dental in November.  Please go to the health insurance link on the front page for more details.
